A generous turnout of 28 teams fronted for their weekly dose of comeradery and competition. The 14 drawn on Ryman Green (covered) were comfortable enough but a tad hesitant given the PM forecast, and likewise those playing outside on Forrest Green were hopeful of a showerless first two games safe in the knowledge the afternoon was assured to be dry, for them. As it transpired all were relatively happy with just a few drizzly showers being the sum total for the day. A different format of 10 ends, 2 bowls, bonus leads and two's certainly paved the way for some very interesting games and results, "real bowls", "a true test" the comments passed by many.

Again we were fortunate in having a sponsor for the day, G J Gardner Homes. Unfortunately the timing wasn't ideal for Michael Gourdie their representative for the day, we look forward to welcoming Michael in person next time. As a club we are always most grateful and appreciative of the ongoing and generous support from G J's.

The altered format definitely made for a very even day of bowls with six x3 winners and three x4 winners.
