OREWA WOMEN'S CLASSIC FOURS

The above tournament organised by Orewa's Ladies Classic Committee and generously sponsored by Ryman Healthcare (Evelyn Page Retirement Village) took place on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd of March 2023.

This tournament has been an annual event for three years now and become a showcase for Women's bowls throughout Auckland and Northland. 88 women came from as far north as Whangarei, Mahurangi, Mangawhai, Auckland Central and of course on the North Shore. It has put Bowls Orewa on the map as one of the most prestigious tournaments for Women on the Shore.

Prestige & Exposure of our club cannot be measured in dollars alone, however, a very healthy profit of around $2000.00 was once again achieved.

Prizes aside, the whole idea behind introducing this tournament was to bring like-minded women together meeting up and enjoying the game of bowls, a chance to connect with friends they have played with during their bowling career.

This tournament provides a "Carnival" atmosphere with music playing, plenty of spot prizes, and excellent, generous prize money, not to mention the lunches and the profit to the club.

The Ladies Classic Committee would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to all the volunteers that helped during this two-day event - YOU DID YOUR CLUB PROUD!

Thanks again, from  Elaine, Christeen, Maureen, Kerin and Jan.
