A not so encouraging forecast proved vastly innacurate as the 20 teams faced off on what transpired to be a top day. With both Forrest & Ryman Greens in action the tricky breeze outside on Forrest proved to be quandry for many, '' very character building'' eminanted from the quiet mutterings of some.
Our wonderful sponsors for the the day Chris & Nadia Bone from Barfoot & Thompson Orewa were on site bright and early decorating the greens and surrounds with their flags and open home directionals, very impressive. Little did we know come the end of the day the treats they had in store for us. The players in all the prize winning teams were each presented with a generous sized not to mention delicious quality chocolate gift. But wait there's more, the chocolate theme continued with all in attendance personally receiving a tasty morsel or two as well as a seemingly endless supply of notepads were distributed to all. A grateful vote of appreciation to Chris & Nadia for their thoughtful and enthusiastic contribution to the day, AWESOME !!!
The keen competition is certainly creating close games with just the x1 four winner and x4 three winners.
